VOTING “YES” ON AMENDMENT 2 WILL:
✅ Establish the Georgia Tax Court
✅ Speed up the tax appeals process in Georgia
✅ Save taxpayers time and money
Establishing the Georgia Tax Court
Currently, taxpayers across the state must go from the Georgia Tax Tribunal – which is part of the executive branch under Georgia law – to Fulton County Superior Court, then to the Georgia Court of Appeals for resolution to disputes with the Georgia Department of Revenue.
Replacing the Georgia Tax Tribunal with the Georgia Tax Court will streamline the tax appeal process for taxpayers by no longer requiring tax disputes to go through Fulton County Superior Court.
Instead, appeals would go directly from the Georgia Tax Court to the Georgia Court of Appeals.
Voting YES on amendment 2 will help resolve important business cases more quickly and more fairly, simplify government, and save taxpayers time and money.
It will provide Georgians with the operational clarity and certainty they need when resolving disputes with the Georgia Department of Revenue.
